then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their figured stones, and destroy all their molten images and demolish all their high places;

you also have done more evil than all who were before you, and have gone and made for yourself other gods and molten images to provoke Me to anger, and have cast Me behind your back--

For they provoked Him with their high places And aroused His jealousy with their graven images.
Let all those be ashamed who serve graven images, Who boast themselves of idols; Worship Him, all you gods.
-“As my hand has reached to the kingdoms of the idols, Whose graven images {were} greater than those of Jerusalem and Samaria,
Shall I not do to Jerusalem and her images Just as I have done to Samaria and her idols?”
-“Now behold, here comes a troop of riders, horsemen in pairs.” And one said, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon; And all the images of her gods are shattered on the ground.”
And you will defile your graven images overlaid with silver, and your molten images plated with gold. You will scatter them as an impure thing, {and} say to them, “Be gone!”
